What are we missing when everything moves so fast?

Your life might actually be quite full: you work, make plans, see people, travel, read, watch, listen, scroll.
And yet, in a world where everything seems to be getting faster, smarter and more convenient, you might find yourself longing for something so simple:

More human ways of experiencing life.

Maybe you want more room for curiosity and creativity. To feel more connected to yourself and to others. To feel inspired by your everyday life again.
What if you didn’t need more, but a different way of experiencing what is already here?

A space to feel more human.

Devotion is a 3.5-week online journey about how to live with more presence, creativity and meaningful connection in a world that constantly pulls our attention elsewhere.

At the heart of Devotion is a simple practice: the art of noticing.

Throughout our time together, we’ll use body awareness, mindfulness, journaling, photography, and collage as different ways of paying attention: to ourselves, to our surroundings and to each other.

Because when we pay closer attention, we become more rooted in ourselves and more present to the world around us. And from that place, we can create, connect and find meaning in the ordinary.

This is about feeling more present in the lives we're already living.

This is about honoring our humanness in a fast-paced world.

What would it mean to live with devotion?

And as technology becomes increasingly good at doing things for us, I believe there is something worth protecting: the deeply human experience of doing, making, noticing and feeling for ourselves.

Devotion is an invitation to return to some of those simple things:

To use our hands.
To write something down instead of typing it.
To make something with what we already have.
To experience life at 1x.
To give our attention to one thing at a time.

Not because technology is the enemy, but because we also need spaces that nurture us rather than overstimulate us. Spaces where ordinary things become interesting again. Where attention and creativity become a form of devotion.

Devotion to ourselves.
Devotion to the world we inhabit.
Devotion to each other.

Perhaps a meaningful life isn't always something we need to find, but something we learn to pay attention to.

What happens when we create space to slow down, create & connect?

Words from participants of Borderless Pages, my monthly creative gathering exploring writing, creativity and connection:

I'm so glad that I've found the journaling group! I love journaling and to be able to connect with other people with the same passion is amazing. It is a great opportunity to be creative, to play and enjoy a moment of reflection and introspection.

Cynthia S. - Argentina

I just wanna say thank you for your workshop. I love all you do, you do it with such an open heart and some higher self trusting wisdom, it’s so beautiful! I felt relieved and somehow freed from my fears. So big thanks!

Eliška C. - Czechia

This wonderful woman enchanted me with her openness, kindness, and warm energy. Her workshop was both playful and deeply transformative. I found my way back to my heart, rediscovered what truly brings me joy, and felt aligned with myself again. Thank you dear Aye!

Signe A. - Latvia

This is for you if…

You sometimes feel overstimulated by the constant stream of content, notifications and digital noise.

You crave a healthier balance between your digital life and the simple, analogue pleasures of being human.

You crave more play and experimentation in your everyday life.

You’re curious about writing, collage, photography or somatic practices... even if you don’t consider yourself creative.

You want to feel more present, curious and creatively alive.

You wish to build meaningful connections with like-minded people.

You sometimes long for a slower, more human way of experiencing everyday life.

Three Weeks. Three Movements.

ABOUT

Hola, I'm Ayelén!

I still remember my first years working as a Spanish editor.

I spent most of my days in front of a computer, reviewing texts, and sending feedback to translators over email. I was working in a field I loved, and yet, something felt deeply frustrating: there was almost no human interaction. It often felt as if I were giving my feedback to a screen.

There was little room for creativity, too. I had guidelines to follow and clients’ instructions to meet. And slowly, I began to feel as if both my creativity and a part of my humanness were being dimmed.

Over time, I realized that if I was missing creativity, and connection in my life, I had to create space for them myself.

That realization eventually became Borderless Pages, the creative community I started in Brno in 2025, where people come together to write, create and connect.

And somewhere along the way, that little community gave me the courage to bring another long-held dream to life: teaching.

That’s how Devotion was born: a creative and mindful space to remember what makes us human❤︎

FAQ

Not at all. Devotion is not about being "good" at art or creating something beautiful. You don’t need to consider yourself creative either... curiosity is more than enough.

No, you can use your smartphone, digital camera or any other camera such as an Instax Mini.

Journaling is simply the practice of putting thoughts, feelings, observations or questions onto paper. During Devotion, we’ll use short prompts to help you reflect and explore your inner and outer world.

You won’t be expected to write beautifully or share anything you’d rather keep private. And you are welcome to write in your mother tongue.

At its heart, somatics is about turning awareness inward and learning to sense the body from within.

In Devotion, we’ll explore gentle and accessible somatic practices as another way of slowing down and reconnecting with ourselves. No previous experience is needed, and you’ll always be invited to participate in the way that feels comfortable for you.

The "art of noticing" is the practice of paying closer attention to the details, patterns and moments we often overlook in everyday life.

The idea has been explored by many artists, writers and thinkers rather than being invented by one single person. One contemporary voice closely associated with the phrase is Rob Walker, author of The Art of Noticing (2019), a book inspired by the idea that our ability to notice can be practiced and strengthened.

It’s less about looking for extraordinary things and more about becoming curious about what is already there.

Nothing fancy! Most of the materials are things you probably already have at home.

You’ll need a notebook or journal and a pen or pencil to write (and colors or highlighters if you want to!) For the collage class, I'm gonna share all the materials with you before Lesson 4.

Yes! From Lessons 1 to 5, you’ll receive a simple homepractice to complete before our next session.

These aren’t traditional assignments. They are small creative explorations that take what we’ve experienced in class into your everyday life; you might be invited to go for a noticing walk, take a few photographs, gather materials from around your home or create something.

The homepractice is an important part of Devotion, as each lesson builds on the previous exploration. You’ll often bring what you discovered or created back into our next live session, where we’ll continue working with it.

Most practices can take as little as 15–30 minutes, but some involve going out and exploring, so you might choose to spend an hour or longer if you feel inspired. How far you take the exploration is entirely up to you.

Think of it less as homework, and more as making a little space for curiosity in your week.

During Devotion, we’ll explore how creativity can become a way of connecting with other people.

You’ll have the opportunity to imagine a small creative project of your own — perhaps a gathering, an exchange, a shared activity or a simple initiative within your neighborhood, workplace, group of friends or online community.

You don’t necessarily have to start something from scratch, either. You might discover an existing community project that resonates with you and find a way to participate or contribute. I’ll share different examples during the course to help you see what this could look like.

And if creating or joining a community project doesn’t feel right for you at this moment, that’s completely okay too. The idea is to explore what community and contribution might mean to you — not to force another item onto your to-do list.

The Devotion Creative Package is an optional little package of inspiration sent to your home after the course.

It will include a selection of creative materials and surprises curated by me — such as pieces of my art, collage cut-outs, stickers and other small things to keep you creating and exploring after Devotion ends.

The package will be available for an additional fee for participants based in Europe and the UK, as shipping costs vary depending on the destination.

I really encourage you to join the sessions live whenever possible, as the conversations, shared reflections and sense of community are an important part of Devotion, but I know life happens!

All live sessions will be recorded, so if you need to miss one, you’ll be able to catch up afterwards. Since each lesson builds on the previous one, I recommend watching the recording and completing the homepractice before joining the following session.

You’ll have access to the session recordings for 2 months after Devotion ends. The Explorer’s Workbook and other downloadable resources are yours to keep, so you can return to the practices whenever you want.
